When preparing pupils to make decisions about higher education, the School encourages them to keep possible long-term ambitions clearly in mind. Given the rapidly changing patterns of employment that they are likely to face, the emphasis is on informing pupils about the opportunities that may be available, and ensuring that they take advantage, rather than determine a specific career path at this early stage of their lives.
Advice and experience
All boys and girls in the Upper School are also offered the opportunity of an appropriate work placement.
A Business Day, involving lectures and seminars by representatives of major service and manufacturing industries and graduate recruitment experts, is organised for the sixth formers.
A UCAS day, as part of preparing pupils for university application, is also organised to provide:
- specific advice on completing UCAS forms,
- practice on interview skills.
The School is also a member of the Independent Schools Careers Organisation
