Although the vast majority of our boys go on to Westminster Great School, a smaller minority choose to continue their education elsewhere.
The academic excellence of the Under School almost always enables our pupils to gain acceptance to the senior school of their choice and a great many of our leavers also reach a standard that allows them to receive a scholarship or award of some description. You can find details of the senior schools chosen by our leavers for the past four years below.
This was a bumper year for the Under School. Six of our Under School boys gained places for only eight Queen’s Scholars at Westminster School. Three non-boarding boys also won Honorary Scholarships, results which meant that, in effect, all of the top nine performers in the Challenge came from the Under School. Thirteen boys in all won awards at Westminster.
News from Eton was also extremely good: one King’s Scholarship was gained with an additional Oppidan scholarship while another boy was placed in the small Proxime class. Our boy who applied for Harrow came top in their examinations out of everyone in the country who applied that year.
Five of our pupils again became Queen’s Scholars at Westminster Great School, three of the non-boarders earned Honorary Scholarships and Exhibitions and one took the Edlin Maths Prize. Added to this were six Westminster Music Scholarships.
For the small number of boys joining Eton, one gained a King’s Scholarships along with two boys who gained music scholarships.
21 of those leavers gained a scholarship or exhibition. Five pupils became Queen’s Scholars at Westminster Great School, four earned Honorary Scholarships and Exhibitions, another five gained Music Scholarships or Exhibitions and one took the Edlin Maths Prize; pupils joining Eton took up three King’s Scholarships, two Oppidan Scholarships and two music exhibitions; and both of the leavers who went to Winchester gained a Music Scholarship or Exhibition.

10 of those leavers gained a scholarship or exhibition. Five pupils became Queen’s Scholars at Westminster Great School, one earned an Academic Scholarship and two gained Music Exhibitions; and three pupils took King’s Scholarships from Eton while a further two earned starred CE entry.
