Mornings are spent in academic lessons with subject specialists, including Westminster teachers and university academics. Unique afternoon workshops are run in places such as Parliament, the National Physical Laboratory, the Foreign Office, a national newspaper and the Globe Theatre, all led by top figures in their field.

The number of students who have taken part in the programme is now in the hundreds. The vast majority go on to study at the UK’s most selective universities, with over 30% gaining a place at Oxford or Cambridge. A recent study by UCAS confirmed that Linacre’s effect was ‘very significantly high’ when compared to students with similar socioeconomic backgrounds and GCSE results. The Linacre Institute was also by far the smallest organisation to reach the prestigious Roll of Honour at the 2019 Social Mobility Awards.

Thanks to Westminster School, Linacre pupils are exposed to outstanding educational opportunities that help them to access the very best Higher Education the UK has to offer.
