To balance the academic pursuits of our pupils, we offer a wide variety of activities to complement our curriculum. These provide the boys with opportunities to engage with new and different ideas, with one another and with the world around them.
Some activities are specific to the different year groups, making it easier to offer age-appropriate options at a range of ability levels; other activities are open to the whole school and provide an excellent way for pupils of all ages and interests to work together.
Opportunities include things like performing in one of the orchestras or choirs, competing in a team sport, staging a play, or joining an after-school club. We also make the most of our central London location and organise frequent trips to the many museums, galleries and cultural sites the city has to offer, in addition to a variety of international expeditions.
The Under School also participates in a number of national initiatives, such as Jeans for Genes Day, the Poppy Appeal, BBC Children in Need, World Book Day, Comic Relief and Earth Day, which are always very popular and enjoyed by pupils and staff alike.
Whatever a boy’s current interests, they will find at Westminster the opportunity to enjoy and develop them, in addition to discovering new activities, perspectives and skills which will expand their horizons.
