There is a real sense of community at Westminster, many members of staff and pupils live on site and the School’s premises are very much treated as a home away from home. The role of the security team at the School is to ensure a safe and secure environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors across the site, in Little Dean’s Yard and beyond.

The role
We are looking for a Night Time Security and Fire Officer to join the School’s security team. The role will involve carrying out checks, logging incidents in a timely manner and monitoring and controlling access to our site, as well as dealing with any incidents should they arise. In addition, the postholder will assist in the management, and set-up and set-down, of events.

Security experience is essential, as is a knowledge of health and safety. The ideal candidate will be friendly and approachable, with excellent customer service and communication skills. They will be a problem-solver, with strong organisational abilities, and will need to be able to work as part of a team, as well as independently.

The successful applicant will be required to work 12-hour shifts, with a four on four off shift pattern. The salary for this role is £33,000 per annum.
