Entry at 7/8+
Boys may enter Westminster Under School at 7 or 8 years old.
Entry at 11+
Aimed at boys from primary schools, pupils spend two years at the Under School before transferring to Westminster School when they are 13 years old. Boys who can remain at their prep schools until they are 13 years old should apply for 13+ entry. A boy who turns down the offer of an 11+ place will not be considered for 13+ entry, but if a boy narrowly misses out on an 11+ place he will be considered for 13+ entry if he he has already been registered for 13+ by his parents.
Entry at 13+
Boys should be registered for 13+ entry to Westminster School by the end of Year 5 (the academic year when they turn ten). Every year 120 boys enter Westminster School at this stage including approximately 50 boys who transfer from Westminster Under School.
Entry at 16+
Girls and boys may apply to enter Westminster School at this stage. Registration opens in the summer of the year before entry and the entrance examinations take place in November.
