Classics is a truly multidisciplinary field, comprising languages, literature, philosophy, history, rhetoric, archaeology, art and architecture – the gamut of the astonishing cultural products of ancient Greece and Rome, and often much that has stemmed from it since the Renaissance. The unique breadth of the subject provides a wonderfully enriching and stimulating intellectual experience, and a very valuable training in rigorous and flexible thought. At Westminster we approach Classics via the study of the Latin and Greek languages, and range widely through the other disciplines in a dynamic and stretching curriculum led by expert and supportive staff.
