Both Westminster Under School and Westminster School are fee-paying independent (or private) schools. The fees as listed below cover full academic tuition, teaching materials, lunches, and most clubs, societies and enrichment activities. Boarding fees additionally cover accommodation, and all meals.

We encourage parents to read all the details carefully for the relevant points of entry, as there are additional costs associated with the admissions process that families should be aware of before beginning registration.
The Governing Body typically reviews fees for the following academic year by the end of the Election (summer) term, with updated information published in early July. We therefore recommend checking the website during the summer holidays for the latest fee updates.

Fees for Reception (4+ entry) from September 2026 will be set alongside all other fee bands in the summer term of 2026.
Fee Details
Parents applying to the Under School at any entry point (including the new 4+) will be asked to pay the following fees as part of the process, all of which are refundable upon request at the start of the academic year after the pupil leaves Westminster Under School (unless they are transferring to Westminster School), or after they leave Westminster School. - Registration fee – £300 (inclusive of VAT)
- Acceptance Deposit – a deposit of £3,000, which is retained until the child leaves the School, plus a further £5,000, which will be set off against the Lent (spring) term invoice in the year they join the School.

Support with fees
Westminster Under School offers Music Scholarships, which are awarded on a strictly competitive basis and parental income is not taken into account. The School also has a system of bursaries, which enables us to offer free places or places at reduced fees to boys and girls who do well in our entrance examinations but whose parents cannot afford the full fees. As outlined above, applying to Westminster involves payment of a registration fee, followed by an acceptance deposit if a child is offered a place. Any parent who is applying for a bursary to Westminster for their child, and feels unable to pay one or both of these fees, may also qualify for a waiver when being considered for a bursary.
